Texas PitGrit from Pit O’ Heaven opens with a bright quality that shifts into a bit of an unexpected — but totally appreciated — black and chili pepper blast. The heat level is both tolerable and addictive.
A touch of sweet and a little tang quickly gives way to balanced salt and savories. Nice and bold with a moderate, creeping kick. It’s extremely complementary, and I love the black and red pepper bite.
