I can put MY finger on it. It’s sugar! This is much sweeter than a typical steak rub, and the flavor delivery is balanced but unusual. Earthy and complex, with a hint of sweet and sour lemon. I get a decent jalapeno kick at the end, which seals the deal for me. Yum!
